Grandma’s Lye Soap- Acne Soap

Through out this summer Grandma’s Lye Soap will highlight its two acne bars in preparation for the upcoming school year.  Both normal and acne skin soap products are aimed to help teenagers and young adults fight acne.  What we have learned is that ordinary soap can clog pores and skin treatments can cost a fortune.  Our goal is to give young adults a cheaper and more effective alternative by offering natural products that are specifically designed to combat breakouts as well as other acne problems.

According to WebMD there are 5 skin types: Normal, Oily, Dry, Combination, and Sensitive. Today we will highlight oily skin which is considered to be one of the more common types.  Most teenagers dealing with oily skin have an excess amount of sebum which is produced by your body’s sebaceous glands. Overproduction of the sebaceous, which are oil-producing glands, results in blackheads and stronger breakouts that teenagers and young adults will have to deal with.

By offering the oily skin acne bar soap, we believe that individuals can take preventative action through an affordable price.  Grandma’s Lye Soap “Acne Bar” will help fight acne as an all natural source.  The bar of soap contains the following ingredients: food grade lard, water, castor, lye, oatmeal & thyme. This soap is hand cut and individually inspected.

Here are some guideline and instructions for effective use of this acne soap:

  1. For full effect use this special acne soap as your ONLY all over daily shower soap for face and body. Wash your face with soap before bed and additionally as needed to clean pores. Continue to use this soap when acne clears to fight bacteria with thyme to keep pores clean and acne under control.
  2. Acne may appear to worsen at first because Acne Bar is cleaning the pores and drawing out the impurities. Most see improvements in 3 to 4 days. Cystic acne may take considerably longer to improve.

Bar Soap vs. Liquid Soap

Many people struggle with the decision between bar soap and liquid soap. One major factor to consider is the cost efficiency. Which one will give me more for my money? Daily Finance compared costs in their savings experiment and concluded with:

“The proof is in the numbers: Old-fashioned soap is just plain cheaper.”

They recommend that no matter which you choose, use a “shower puff” to make the soap or body wash last longer.

The Art of Adapting

The Art of Adapting

The Wall Street Journal published an article with ideas for the elderly to use to cope with getting older. They were such great suggestions, I thought I would share. Keep your bar soap in a nylon tied to the shower. The soap will work through the nylon and if you happen to drop the bar, you won’t have to worry about stepping on it and slipping. It will still be easy to reach, no bending over involved! Try this great idea with your Grandma’s Lye Soap!

How To Wash Your Face

When Grandma sells her soap, she always recommends the best way to  use it. If you are shopping online, Grandma can’t physically hand you the bar of soap and give her instructions. She won’t make you feel like a little kid who doesn’t know how to wash his face. She makes you feel like she wants the very best for you and for you to get the most out of her soap. The cool thing is, Grandma really does make Grandma’s Lye Soap and she really does want the best for you.

Grandma says, to wash your face twice a day. Once in the morning and once before you go to bed. Use Grandma’s Lye Soap all over, for your face and body. So if you use it to shower in the morning, use it to wash your face at night, or vice versa. Sometimes it helps to wash your face an extra time after a long day at work or school. Especially wash after you exercise or do manual labor.

Use warm water when you wash your face. Not hot. Not cold. Be gentle with your face and rub the bar in a circular motion. Definitely don’t scrub.

Some people have unique techniques they that work best for them. Comment here so we can share those ideas with other Grandma’s Lye Soap lovers!
